What this role is about
As an Amazon Delivery Station Warehouse Associate, you will play an important role in ensuring packages are ready for customer delivery. Key responsibilities include: receiving and preparing inventory for delivery, using technology such as smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans, building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages, and receiving truck deliveries of customer packages. The work environment involves working around moving machines such as order pickers, forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. Activity may require standing in one place, walking, or climbing stairs. Training consists of a fixed schedule for on-the-job training before transitioning to a chosen schedule. Temperatures can vary between 60°F and 90°F; truck yards and trailers may exceed 90°F. The noise level can be noisy at times, with hearing protection provided if needed. The dress code is relaxed, with safety requirements; comfortable closed-toe shoes are required, and protective safety footwear may be required.
Requirements
Candidates must be 18 years or older. Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English. Ability to lift up to 49 pounds. Ability to view prompts on screens and follow directions for tasks. Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Ability to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around. Ability to go up and down stairs (where applicable). Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable). Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles.
