What this role is about
Amazon is the world's largest online retail company. Working at Amazon comes with many benefits in Mesa, AZ. When you start working in one of Amazon's warehouses then, you might work in four different verticals such as Fulfillment Center, Sortation Center, Delivery Station, and Grocery Warehouse. The Fulfillment Center team prepares the customer packages. This job is very fast and requires high energy, involving activities such as bending, carrying up, getting up, etc. The Sortation Center team's primary function is sorting (categorizing) products, scanning them, placing them on pallets, and making them ready for delivery. Delivery Station is the last address of the product before it goes to the customer. The Delivery Station Warehouse Associate unloads products from trucks and prepares them for couriers. To summarize, the Amazon warehouse worker is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping customer orders in Mesa, AZ, including safe handling of products and complying with safety regulations. The warehouse worker may also be required to operate a forklift or other equipment as needed. Responsibilities include: Pick customer orders in an assigned area with the use of a pick list and packing slip; Pack products into boxes or onto pallets as necessary; Load and unload trucks; Apply appropriate labels to packages; Scan items using RF handheld scanners; Handle returns per return policy standards; Perform other duties as assigned by management; Operate a forklift or other equipment as needed; Maintain an appropriate level of productivity as defined by Amazon standards; Follow safety policies and procedures for warehouse work as outlined in the Amazon Safety Guidelines.
