Job description
What this role is about
As a CDL Class A Driver for an Amazon Freight Partner, you will be responsible for transporting Amazon freight on local and/or regional routes. This is a no-touch, drop-and-hook driving position — meaning you’ll spend more time on the road and less time waiting to load or unload cargo. You will operate late-model, Amazon-branded tractors and run pre-planned routes between Amazon facilities, with consistent schedules and reliable home time. Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on local or regional routes. Haul Amazon freight exclusively (no-touch, drop-and-hook freight). Drive on pre-scheduled routes between Amazon fulfillment centers, sortation centers, and other facilities. Complete multiple short or regional hauls per shift. Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Adhere to all FMCSA, DOT, and local traffic regulations. Use electronic logging devices (ELDs) to ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. Maintain professional communication with dispatchers and Amazon yard teams. Report safety incidents, delays, or mechanical issues promptly. Demonstrate a commitment to safety, timeliness, and professional conduct. Amazon Freight Partners employ CDL Class A Drivers to transport no-touch, drop-and-hook freight between Amazon facilities on local, regional, and short-haul routes. Drivers operate Amazon-branded tractors equipped with advanced safety technology and benefit from pre-scheduled routes, consistent home time, and a strong culture of safety. This role is ideal for experienced or newer CDL A drivers seeking a professional, technology-forward work environment backed by Amazon’s logistics network, with opportunities for growth into roles such as trainer, dispatcher, or lead driver.
