The Route driver loads / off loads and delivers products to Customers on a scheduled time frame. The driver provides positive and impeccable customer service and works to resolve any issues. Drive a commercial truck in but not limited to the 5 Boroughs of New York & New Jersey. In addition, the driver will assist with loading dock and or warehouse duties if needed. Safely load and unload vehicle with designated products. Inventory truck load out and upon return to base. Safely deliver materials to Customers in a timely and accurate fashion. Obtain appropriate signatures from Customers to verify receipt of delivered items. Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Maintain daily records and logs related to vehicle and deliveries. Maintain all DOT physicals (medical cards) & drug screens required to maintain CDL. Operate all vehicles safely and efficiently. Perform pre & post safety checks and inspections of assigned vehicle. Perform routine maintenance of assigned vehicle daily. Example: check fluids / lights etc… Report all incidents and accidents immediately to management. Perform as back-up for other route drivers. Assist loading dock & warehouse if needed. Other duties assigned.
