Job Summary As a Warehouse Attendant, you will play a vital role in receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently will ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse and contribute to the success of our team. Key Responsibilities: Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas Place materials/goods on racks, shelves, and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department Mark materials with identifying information Open bales, crates, and other containers Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers Use a computer to enter records Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications Drive a vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments Prepare parcels for mailing Maintain inventory records Perform other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment preferred Forklift experience is preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications: Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols Ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, or other material handling equipment Basic math skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Skills and Competencies: Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Canteen, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
