Job description
What this role is about
We run a growing apparel brand selling through Shopify and Amazon. Over the past year, we’ve expanded our product line and order volume, and operations have started to get messy. We’re now managing multiple SKUs across sizes and variants, working with several suppliers, and trying to stay on top of restocking across both platforms. Our backend operations - inventory tracking, purchasing, and demand planning - are currently managed through a combination of spreadsheets and manual processes. While this worked at a smaller scale, it’s becoming difficult to maintain accuracy and clear visibility as we grow. At this point, we don’t fully trust our inventory numbers, and planning reorders is becoming increasingly reactive. We are starting to experience challenges such as: - Unclear inventory levels across channels - Difficulty planning reorders and managing lead times - Risk of stockouts or over-ordering - Lack of a structured system for purchasing decisions We’re looking for someone who can step in, understand how our business operates in practice, and help us build a more structured, reliable system for managing inventory and procurement.
Requirements
Proven experience in operations, supply chain, or production planning Strong skills in Excel (or similar tools like Google Sheets) Practical experience with inventory management and procurement Ability to translate messy, real-world processes into structured systems Understanding of suppliers, lead times, and demand planning Comfortable working with imperfect or incomplete data This is NOT a basic spreadsheet cleanup task - we’re looking for someone who has built or improved real operational systems.
