What this role is about
As a Inventory Control Associate at Amazon, you will play a key role in ensuring orders are processed correctly and shipped on schedule. This hands-on role involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where collaboration and technology drive success. Key responsibilities include: Receiving and Processing: Unload, inspect, and organize incoming shipments and inventory. Picking and Packing: Utilize handheld scanners to pick customer orders and securely pack items for delivery. Shipping: Label, stage, and prepare packages to ensure timely shipment. Workplace Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times. Equipment Operation: Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (with certification) and conduct required safety checks. Team Collaboration: Partner with colleagues and supervisors to meet daily operational goals. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Amazon safety protocols, OSHA standards, and PPE guidelines.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Basic computer skills and familiarity with handheld scanners or warehouse systems Preferred Qualifications: Prior warehouse or logistics experience (optional) Forklift certification is a plus; training can be provided if needed
