What this role is about
Seeking two dependable Material Handlers with a chemical/industrial background and a steady work history. These roles support warehouse operations within the Shipping and Receiving departments. Ideal candidates are versatile, able to perform clerical tasks, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Shipping & Receiving Duties: Load and unload freight. Put away, store, and select materials using scanners or computer systems. Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks (including narrow-aisle and wire-guided equipment). Prepare and pack outbound materials, including hazardous goods, according to DOT, IATA, IMO, and company procedures. Receive inbound materials from vendors and verify chemicals, catalog/lot numbers, weights, and documentation. Documentation & Inventory: Accurately document all material movements. Perform location audits and maintain inventory accuracy. Print/apply labels, markings, and hazardous material indicators. Process goods receipts, canning of material, and CONF orders. Maintain shipping records and communicate shipping issues or discrepancies. Systems & Coordination: Schedule dock appointments for carriers. Scan/meter products into the shipping system. Communicate with Procurement and Customer Interface Departments. Assist in training new employees. Report safety concerns and follow all GDP and safety guidelines.
