What this role is about
Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure. Load Merchandise into appropriate truck. Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots. Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines. Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery. Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy. Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, "Preferred Method Standard". Identify and report slot and put-away problems. Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed. Performs house keeping duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass a functional capacity test. The ideal Candidate will have ability to: Operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker. Lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift. Bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time. Successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements. Operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices. Preferred: Knowledge of SAP. 1+ year warehouse experience. Previous forklift certification. Material handling equipment experience. Reach truck experience.
