What this role is about
Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program. Properly pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards. Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor. Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility. Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management. Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both. Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery. Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks. Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening. Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Basic English language proficiency (spoken and written) required for understanding safety and operational instructions in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
