• Career information: your résumé/CV, its extracted text, skills, work history, target role, preferred locations, remote-work preference, and salary preference where provided.
• Service activity: search choices, job matches, jobs you mark or track, and timestamps associated with your use of the Service.
• Technical information: authentication, preference, and security cookies; device/browser information; and usage or performance events collected through our analytics providers.
• Communications: information you send us, including support messages.

Résumés can contain sensitive personal information, such as nationality, disability, or other information you choose to include. Please remove information you do not want processed. Do not upload highly sensitive information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, passwords, or health records.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• create and secure your account and deliver the Service;
• store and process your résumé, extract profile information, search for roles, and rank job matches;
• maintain job tracking, respond to requests, troubleshoot, and prevent fraud or misuse;
• measure site performance and improve the Service; and
• send product updates and job-search tips; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Our AI-assisted processing can generate inferred skills, target roles, and match rankings from your résumé and preferences. It does not make employment decisions for employers and does not guarantee results. You should review any output before relying on it.

You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email. We will still send essential account, security, and service messages when necessary.

3. Legal bases for EEA/UK users

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process account and résumé data to perform our contract with you; use limited technical data and safeguards for our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable Service; and process data when necessary to comply with law. Where we ask for consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service, including with:

• Supabase for authentication and résumé file storage;
• Google Gemini for AI-assisted résumé and job-posting analysis;
• Tinyfish for job-search queries;
• Vercel for hosting, analytics, and performance insights;
• Google, LinkedIn, or email authentication providers when you choose those sign-in methods;
• professional advisers, authorities, or others where law, safety, rights, or a business transfer requires it.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not provide your résumé to employers through the current Service. When you follow a job link or apply on a third-party site, that party's privacy notice governs information you provide there.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms and safeguards offered by our providers. You may request more information about applicable safeguards using the contact details below.

6. Retention

We keep account and résumé information while your account is active and for up to 30 days after a verified deletion request, unless a longer period is necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes. We retain job listings and aggregated or de-identified information as needed to operate and improve the Service.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use necessary cookies to keep you signed in, protect sessions, remember search settings, and prevent abuse. We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand site usage and performance. You can control cookies in your browser, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, withdraw consent, receive a portable copy, and complain to a relevant data-protection authority. To request access, correction, export, or deletion, email privacy@mail.youjob.iofrom your account email address with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before responding. Authorized agents may make requests where applicable law allows, subject to verification of authority.

California residents may exercise applicable CCPA/CPRA rights through the same method. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law, so we do not offer a separate opt-out link.

9. Security and children

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
